Eshla; A town accessible by all player levels, also a hot spot for socializing if you have the determination to do so. Finding someone who was neither boring, nor a beggar was hard at this level of Axial Online. Beginning towns were flooded with people wanting help with getting started, as the tutorial was merely a skeleton of the basics.
Shin, as he had chosen for his username on the game, had been playing since the start of beta testing. Starting as a priest he mastered the basics about a month after the game set to be available to everyone. He was on hiatus for Priest at the moment though, deciding to focus on Archery instead.
Currently, Shin was seated comfortably under a tree in the middle of Eshla, calmly cleaning out his inventory as he was constantly getting new loot he didn't need. Normally he was never a very neat person, but he hated when he couldn't find something in his inventory when he needed it, as it could be detrimental in combat.
He was in the middle of cleaning out a rather unorganized pouch of potions, when his indicator rang to having a new message. Thinking it was a message from one of his gaming friends he clicked open, unknown to him that it would change his life forever.
Inside the message was a detailed description on how it was impossible to leave the game, and forced removal of the gaming headgear was fatal. He had thought it was a joke until he realized the panic spreading through the normally happy town.
Standing, he closed his inventory and walked towards the center of town, where most of the shock was setting in, Most people at this point were there as someone was trying to calm the most freaked out players down. He noticed a guy who seemed to be slightly new to the game as he seemed uneasy with not only the idea of being stuck in a video game but also as if he had bought a new body and didn't know how to control it perfectly yet.
Shin himself had only picked the preset character, since he was never very good at customization. He strolled up to the guy with a small smile, speaking in the odd voice the preset had come with "Someone probably just hacked into the system, I;m sure the moderators will fix it so-" He was cut off by another ring of his indicator.
It was a gift this time, and by the looks on the faces of everyone else, he wasn't the only receiver. Inside was a small mirror, slowly but surely everyone opened it and was looking into the reflective surface, causing them to change Into their real life bodies.
Yukio, as the name now said, stared at himself with shock, his voice back to its normal boyish self as he spoke " Or maybe its real.."

Sumi was never good at video games but when she was transported to Axial online she fell in love. It took her a while to get used to it, and the new guy name Dahn to be comfortable with casually being around others but still not yet used to having such a tall and lanky figure, so she knew that to others she still must look a little silly moving around.
She was walking to the stables so she could help with the horses when she got a ping from her messages. Opening it she just thought it was a near by noob asking her if she wanted to join their party, but when she read it it was something so drastically different.
Frantically looking around to see that other people had the same look on their face as she did only helped make her even more anxious. "How could they make it so that it was impossible to leave the game?" She thought to herself when she saw a man ambling up to her trying to sooth the anxious fire within her.
He was mid sentence when he was interrupted by another ping, looking into it she saw that it was a mirror. Feeling herself grow shorter and the wind blowing through her hair she looked at the now boyish person in front of her with terror, she had gotten used to her appearance and being treated as a guy that her actual self was a shock to even herself.
"Now what do we do?" Her voice laced with fear she asked the guy standing in front of her that she now had to look up to. She lived with only her dad and what if he tried taking off her headgear, he couldn't know that would kill her. The only thing that helped quill her fear for her father killing her was the hope that a message had been sent out that explained what was happening to them.

Yukio was shocked as he stature shrunk back to his slim build, but not at shocked as he was to find the boy he had just spoke to was now a tiny girl with paper white skin and multicolored hair.
"Now what do we do?" Her voice laced with fear as she tilted her head back to look him in the face.
Placing a hand to his chin in though before speaking, he looked down at her, still shocked by her drastic change "Now I suppose we try to beat the game." He shrugged, he had always wanted to live in a video game, and at least he would have a valid excuse for missing the final exam in chemistry.. Yes this could work out for him.
The panic was settling down as he slowly looked over his clothes, along with the girl a few steps away from him, who now looked as if she was wearing a dress, instead of the man's outfit it was supposed to be.
Lifting an eyebrow he raised a hand in the direction of the armor merchant across the clearing "Maybe we should get you some new clothes, particularly in the female range; yeah?"
He didn't bother hiding a smile as he led the girl to the small building and bringing up the clothes options, deciding his smaller frame didn't fit well with the outfit he had chosen for the preset. Picking out a pair of leather pants that clung to his legs and a plain black Tee, he then changed the selection of clothes to the females category and pointed at the screen "Pick."

Always being easily influenced by others she could feel her terror fading with the others. Looking down she now saw that she was wearing more of dress instead of her previous outfit.
Holding out her arms to see just how big it was made it even worse. She looked up to see the guy with a raised eyebrow, she realized he was probably thinking the same thing. The problem was that she didn't have enough gold yet to really buy anything.
"Maybe we should get you some new clothes, particularly in the female range; yeah?"
"O-only if you're absolutely okay with it." She said unable to object before she was being ushered to the armor merchant with his hand on her lower back to lead her the right way making her feel like a child in grownup clothing that needed help. Sumi was in no was going to object to anyones help so she obediently followed but was stumped when she saw the few items available.
Looking for a minute or two she finally picked a short blue dress with stars at the bottom, she looked up at him for approval. She saw him put his hands in his pockets and start walking away, not having even having saw it saying cute cute. Before she knew it she was wearing an actual dress and not a shirt that looked like one.
"Hey hey!" She called after him tugging lightly on his sleeve when she caught up. "Sorry if I did something wrong." Her quite voice barely over the noise of the town. He was dismissive when she wanted to pick out something he would like on her since he was paying for it.

"Hey hey!" the small girl called after him, tugging lightly on the sleeve of his shirt. "Sorry if I did something wrong." Her quite voice barely rose high enough over the noise of the town.
Yukio shook his head "Nothing wrong really, I get to live in my favorite video game, what's there to be upset about hm?"
He looked the girl over before shoving his hands deeper in his pockets, "I'm gonna go grind some monsters if you wanna join me; I need to hurry and master Archery so I can move on to something else, Maybe close range next.. I don't know."
He continued rambling as he walked along the road leading to a large field where he could see some moderate level Goblins spattered over the grass. The boy stretched his long arms over his head with a sigh before turning to Sumi, his hand already reaching for the large bow on his back.
"Hope these arn't to high level for you, If so just make sure not to aggro them."
After giving the small warning he aimed lazily at the nearest Goblin, glad he never had to carry arrows as they actually just manifest from thin air when you draw your bow.
Closing his eyes, Yukio took a deep breath, calming himself before letting go of the string. THe arrow flew across the field, hitting the goblin dead on.
Of course one wasnt going to kill it so he let his body glide to the left as the monster jumped toward him, missing him by just a sliver.
Kicking the monstrosity in the gut, he jumped backwards landing lightly on his feet about 3 yards away, where he drew back another arrow, aiming it at the monsters head.
The last arrow shot forward, knocking the creature to the ground where it dissolved, leaving only a small bag of gold and a few potion ingredients.
Yukio turned to the girl with a smile, scratching the back of his head "Your turn now then?"

Walking next to him was better when he explained that he wasn't upset at her but just excited that he was in the game that he loved and just expressed it differently.
Sumi walked along side him trying to keep herself as light on her feet as she could to practice for the one class she wanted to truly master, the rouge class. She gladly followed him to a large field of goblins, that she would have to kill to help her grow better.
When they got up to the goblins she watched him with wondrous eyes as he killed the goblin with a terrifyingly calculated deadliness, she was so in awe with his beauty in that moment she she didn't really know what to say for a moment after he had killed the goblin and come up to her.
After her eyes had focused back to after a second of him asking if it was her turn then. "Umm, y-yeah." Stumbling on her words before moving closer to the goblin, she wasn't that worried about fighting the goblin but more about her previous thoughts about the boy that she was now traveling with.
Moving closer to the goblin she took out the duel knives that rested at her waist. She watched the monster move closer to the monster and watched it make deadly moves for her but they were a fraction of a second to slow. So bouncing and rolling out of the way slowly but surely slashing at it.
When it finally fell she jumped on its chest and stabbed each of the knives on either side of its neck and used the knives to flip herself off the monster and land on the ground before it evaporated into dust feeling the strain on her hair leave when the monster did. It had managed to get her a few times so her dress had a few slashes and her health was depleted from the hits and the power she used. Looking down she saw a slash in her dress right across her breasts minding itself as her health was becoming full again.
"I didn't even feel it when it hit me." She said looking up at him from her dress, at least she knew that that power worked but she knew that she would need to keep her hair in buns to keep it out of the way while fighting

Yukio watched the girl fight with a lopsided smile, she was pretty good for someone who probably hadn't played many games. "I didn't even feel it when it hit me." She said looking up from her dress which had been cut during the fight.
Digging his hands into his pocket, he looked over the girl, her health slowly starting to come back. "You should probably go into settings and change the pain level, You wanna feel a bit of a sting when they hit so you know your losing health."
They continued fighting for a while longer, Sumi gaining 2 levels, as he only went up 1 in Archery. By the end of the monster grinding,he noticed a few cuts, one on his arm and a mild gash on hi lower thigh.
He waited for Sumi to turn around before casting a wordless spell to heal the wounds, as he wasn't ready to have anyone find out he was a priest. He had been in far to many groups where he ended up healing instead of archery due to them finding out. So he wanted to keep it to himself until he absolutely needed to heal someone.
Looking through his inventory, he picked out a few healing and stamina potions, and held them out for Sumi, "You should probably heal up a bit more, some monsters will attack when your at a lower health."

Sumi only went up a couple levels but she was content with that. She did listen to Yukio and rose her pain level before the end of the day.
Taking her shoes off on the way back to town so she could feel the earth against her skin made her feel better, but knowing that is was just a game it wasn't as perfect as the real grass against her skin and the feel of true wind blowing through her hair and giving her goosebumps.
"Yukio, may I ask you a question?" She said looking down at her feet as they walked. "What do you miss the most because of all of this?" She asked looking up at him with big doe eyes, lacing her fingers into his to feel more grounded to someone. Not having someone to feel at home with, before it may have just been her pets and the feeling of home they brought her when she was in her bedroom but now the closest thing she had was a stranger that at any minute could leave.
She quickly took her hand from his realizing that she was making herself to comfortable with him far to quickly. Her hand fidgeted at her side for a second before she remembered that she needed to put her hair in buns which is exactly what she did so she didn't have to think about how she grabbed his hand.
"Umm, I'm just going to stay at the local inn if you wish to join me." She told him so if he did leave her he wouldn't have to straight out leave it would seem more of a choice. She wished that she had a horse already so that she could ride it into the next town to a better inn.
"I don't know how long you wish to stay with me, but if you do plan on leaving then I just want you gone. Don't say goodbye just leave when I'm asleep, its easier that way." She told him when they had stopped outside of the inn, she wasn't able to look him in the eyes as she said something so bold but now that it was out in the open she could. She not only wanted to hear what he had to say about it, but also what his eyes couldn't say.
